Heb 3:1, 12:1-2
The conference is in-person, English only. There will not be any livestream services or translation available.
Anyone that has finished schooling would be a chaperone, which would include parents and young adults. As a chaperone, you are expected to watch over all the attendees at the conference, whether that is ones travelling with you or not. You are there to help encourage the youth, serve where you are asked to serve and to be a testimony for the young ones. Once you have registered, more details will be sent to you separately via email.
Yes, everyone attending will need to fill out a registration form as we will be assigning on-site housing arrangements for everyone attending.
Attendees will assemble at Toronto Christ’s Congregation church building on Monday, August 3rd at noon. We will have lunch together and board school buses to Redeemer University. Those who opt to drive to Redeemer University themselves will need to check-in with Admin at 4pm. Please indicate this when completing the Travel Itinerary Form.
Conference officially ends at Redeemer at 2PM on Friday, August 7. After the conference officially ends at Redeemer, all remaining attendees will return to the TCC building via school buses where everyone is still free to fellowship and worship and we will have part two of Singspiration. There will also be dinner provided. After dinner, attendees will be dismissed to their host families.
Due to logistical reasons, we will not provide transportation to and from the airport on Monday and Friday. Please note that Redeemer University is about an hour drive (75KM) away from the airport.
The saints in Toronto have graciously opened their homes to everyone out of town for accommodation and transportation. They will be able to help provide accommodations before and after the conference should you arrange to arrive on August 1–2, or depart on August 8–10.
All attendees, chaperones included, will be assigned a townhouse/dorm that is separated by gender. There may be up to 8 attendees in each townhouse/dorm. Each room will have 2 single beds for 2 attendees. As the aim of the conference is to encourage youth to fellowship and meet other believers, requests to room with friends or siblings will not be accommodated.
No. Due to the structure of the conference where attendees meet together for morning and evening prayer within their suites, all attendees must stay on site in the rooms they are assigned.
All electronics must be put away for the duration of the conference. Cellphones will be collected by the room leaders at the beginning of conference and returned at the end of conference. Laptops, tablets and other devices used during travel are also expected to be put away. Failure to comply may lead to dismissal from the conference.
While it is not recommended due to how intense the conference is, there is free time that you can use to do school work or work if needed. That being said, in adhering with the electronics policy, laptops, cellphones and other devices will not be permitted during that time.
Singspiration is a time for all attendees to come and share a song that the Lord has put on your heart specifically related to the theme of the conference. This can be done by yourself or, even better, as a group. We have 2 official times for Singspiration — one on Wednesday evening and one on Friday afternoon. There will be signup for the time at conference.
